Jane and I were lucky enough to get seats for a CD recording party by Stephanie Schneiderman. We were exceptionally lucky to get there early enough to get front row seats. I also brought along my camera, though the low light (I tried hard not to blind her with the flash) really pushed the camera's abilities.
For those of you not lucky enough to have ever seen Stephanie perform live (or hear her music at all) you are doing yourself a huge disservice. She has an incredibly sultry voice and a strong talent for song-writing. Her shows are one of the very few things I actually miss after having moved away from Portland (oh how I wish she'd come sing in Denver!) Take a look at her website, download and listen to some of her songs, then order her CDs, you won't regret it. Everyone I played her music for became an instant fan, she's that good.
