Hiking Torreys Peak

Bagging a Colorado Fourteener

Since moving back to Colorado I'd been itching to spend more time in the mountains. Since Jane had never hiked a fourteener (a mountain higher than 14,000 feet) we picked Torreys and Grays. The hikes are not technically demanding (though they can be physically demanding) and they are a solid day of hiking. Jane did great, powering right up the hill without problems, even knocking off both peaks. This time I elected to skip Grays and only do Torreys so I could have more time to take photos. If you go be aware that since the mountains are close to Denver and not technical there will be a large crowd of people you will be hiking with.
