I've really been enjoying Matthias Wandel's YouTube channel. He's a bit of a maker mixed with mad scientist who has some great videos:
- Hexagon cake knife. (This is what got me started watching his videos.)
- Making gears with a jigsaw
- Improvised table saw (to make a table saw)
- Draining plumbing with compressed air (this is just smart, way smarter than trying to drain your hot water heater into a bucket and dump it.)
I love his attitude of "I don't have the right tool? I'll make something that will work" (like the mock band saw in the gears video.)
