DMARC: Monitor & secure your email delivery. I've been getting DMARC reports from a couple domains for a while but I wasn't sure how to deal with any errors nor was I sure what it was gaining me. This is a nice guide that explains how it works. If you run your own email domain this is worth a read.     #>

mini museum. Not cheap ($300) but very very cool. He takes tiny samples of things and puts them into glass, it's a tiny museum that sits on your desk.     #>

Peggo mp3 recorder, Android app to record YouTube into mp3s.     #>

Perch and Salient Eye. Both turn your old smartphone or tablet into a home security system (or at least a camera setup.) Could be interesting, setup a couple old phones pointing into your room, cheaper and easier to setup than most IP cameras.     #>

cygup. Make this a batch file, run it periodically and it'll update your Cygwin installation. Way handy.     #>

Over Thanksgiving I was happy to learn that the Sand Flats Recreation Area in Moab allows you to bring dogs in. The National Parks allow dogs in campsites but that's it (never on trails) and the Utah State Parks doesn't allow them period, not even in the car if you are just driving through (that's pretty hostile if you ask me...)     #>

Install MariaDB on CentOS 6 x86. I did something similar recently since having MySQL installed is a blocking issue for being able to upgrade the distribution to CentOS 7.     #>

Squire and trix are both nice in-browser text editors. Also see this roll-up comment in the HN thread for all the editors mentioned in the thread. Every once in a while I need to implement a text editor for a website, I'm keeping this list.     #>

Pinboard and Stash It. Both bookmarking services, handy if you use more than one computer. I think this website has turned into that function for me, but I like some of the add-on features that Pinboard has (things like dead link checking and such.)     #>

FoxtrotGPS, an easy to use, free & open-source GPS/GIS application that works well on small screens, and is especially suited to touch input. Looks like it uses Open Street Map on the backend.     #>

MVMT Watches. I really like their designs and the prices aren't bad either.     #>

written and directed by Kevin Oeser. There's some good stuff in there, worth watching.     #>

crontab.guru and visual crontab editor. Because when you don't edit the cron very often it's easy to forget the format and options...     #>

How to Fake Depth of Field Blur in Photoshop Using Z-Depth Pass. Sometimes I lose track of the goal of a shot (having a shallow depth of field for instance) so while I won't use this often it's a good trick to have.     #>

Featured Ride: Gooseberry Mesa – The Big Loop. Looks amazing, too bad it's so far (and Moab is on the way, so I'd probably just stop there on the drive out...)     #>

Wooden Pallet - Bike and Scooter Rack. Neat.     #>

openvpn-install and streisand. Both let you setup your own VPN gateway, which helps keep an ISP from snooping on your traffic.     #>

The Journeywoman

Martin, a not-famous, not-professional mountain biker uninterested in self-promotion, had just become the first woman to summit all of Colorado’s legal-to-ride 14,000-foot peaks by mountain bike.

Holy cow, I have enough trouble just walking up them.     #>

Pulse camera controller. Wirelessly connects your camera to your phone or tablet, giving you nice control over the photo. This was a Kickstarter that went way over their goal, so right now they are in pre-order mode. Not a bad deal for $80.     #>

Ampache and Koel. Both setup with a webserver and stream music. I keep thinking about getting a Raspberry Pi and attaching it to my NAS with something like this, then I can have all my music anywhere in the world...     #>

How to Make a Professional Camera Slider (100% DIY!). And it looks professionally made, he did a great job. Unfortunately I think slider shots are so overused they are basically cliche at this point.     #>

Disklabs Faraday Bags. For when you are a cop, paranoid, or actually value your privacy.     #>

RTD 2016 Fare Changes. Looks like my cost to take the light rail might actually go down a touch, the outer zone just covers the JeffCo government center now. They've eliminated transfers though, so I think if your ride is complicated (multiple transit changes) it didn't get any cheaper or easier to deal with.     #>

Every Original Show From Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon, In Three Graphics. Handy reference.     #>

Installing microG GmsCore. This is a minimalist replacement for Google Play on a rooted Android phone, so that some apps will work (supplies things like location services.) I think this is great, any alternative is welcome.     #>

Network Interfaces Name change in Ubuntu 15.10. Such a pain when they do this, what's wrong with ethX?     #>

DIY Chandlery: How to Make Your Own Candles. Quick, Christmas is coming, get on it!     #>
