New photo gallery: St. Louis Gateway Arch. I really like the "Tram Stop" pics, they remind me of something out of a Philip K. Dick story.     #>

The Big Ten Media Companies. Disturbing how much just these 10 companies control of what you hear and see every day.     #>

Hacking Food: The All-Pizza Diet. I like it, but not quite that much. Not to mention he lives in NYC, where it's noticably easier to grab a slice anytime you want it.     #>

Pizza Dough Recipes, from a site that wants to sell you pizza making equipment. I'm also going to experiment with the Dave's Beer Pizza Recipe at some point. The last pizzas I made came out ok, but I think I could do better with the crust.     #>

Download mountain climbing wallpaper pictures. It's not just climbing pictures, he has a huge range of outdoors photography wallpapers, all gorgeous.     #>

Compact Fluorescent Light Bulbs from "The Bulbman". You can get way more than the standard types here, including "dimmables". I just wish prices on those things would come down a bit, ouch. I can buy an 8-pack of normal "60watt" screw ins from Costco for $9, but a single dimmable is $24 plus shipping? No thanks.     #>

ThinkWiki, a community Wiki for people with IBM (and now Lenovo) Thinkpads. I have a Thinkpad T42 for work and love it, this will be handy.     #>

Freeloaders Are Not The Issue. Wow, so a paying customer is a "freeloader" in the telco sense? I'm glad more businesses don't have such a jacked up way at looking at the world. "Damn freeloaders, buying up our gasoline and driving with it!"     #>

Step-by-Step: How to Get BILLIONS of Pages Indexed by Google. I noticed this crap as I was doing some searches the other day, random domains that had random "articles" (which seemed more to be just a random string of words than anything coherent.) I never click an ad on one of those damn sites though, hopefully nobody else does either.     #>

How to get the Sin City look in a photograph. Pretty cool looking effect (even without the "rain").     #>

Can I check my calendar information via SMS? Interesting, you can use your cell phone to use Google Calendar (a great idea when you aren't near a computer.)     #>

Makezine suggest a site. I'm bookmarking this because I went looking for it the other day and didn't see it.     #>

This is my 4-wool drive. Someone has too much spare time on their hands.     #>

Amectran Corporation's EXAR-1 Electric Powered Automobile, a fully-electric car from the 70s. Read the scandals as well.     #>

Rentglass, mail order lens rental, right now specializing in Canon lenses. I'm amazed at how reasonable their prices are as well, I mean you can get a piece of "L" glass (the best Canon makes) for $45/week. Also, the FAQ explains that your weekly rental begins only when UPS says they dropped the lens off at your location. I'm very tempted to pick a few things up to experiment.     #>

Getting Sh-t Done, a pared-down system for getting stuff done.     #>

MP3 Blog Listing, quite the list of places to download free mp3s.     #>

Black is the new black. As in black toilet paper.     #>

One amusing story I'd just remembered from Amsterdam. This was when J and I were on our way back to the US in mid-February. We talked to a girl in line checking into the same United flight as us. She was born in Amsterdam, but spent all of her time growing up in the US, but moved back for University. Her parents lived in Houston and she was going to Guatamala via Dulles then Los Angeles.

As she walked up to the agent we noticed something, she had a Canadian flag stitched to her backpack.     #>

Relay: Slick web-based Ajax file manager. Working on downloading this but their server appears to be overwhelmed right now.     #>

No Happy Ending for This Family's Extreme Makeover Home Edition. So the orphans got kicked out of the house that was specifically built for them, with no recourse? I'd say that town ought to be shunning the "couple from the church" for being so greedy.     #>

Ban The Bulb, specifically the incandescent. "In 2001, lighting accounted for 101 billion kWh (8.8%) of U.S. household electricity use."     #>

Holy crap: Giant Bat-Eating Centipede. Note to self, stay out of the bat caves in Venezuela     #>
